Teamed them up with Union Jack sequin leggings and a boyfriend Tee.
And had good night out to see Amanda Palmer - whose band members, i might add, were all dressed up like Adam Ants new-romantic dandies, they looked and sounded great.

I've been loving a bit of glam rock again lately, blame the Jeffrey Campbell shoes every other gal is wearing (i do love them though), even compelled to rummage through the garage until i found my old patent leather platforms. It's been about 8 years since i last wore them, i missed them!

And had good night out to see Amanda Palmer - whose band members, i might add, were all dressed up like Adam Ants new-romantic dandies, they looked and sounded great. Working on some Graphic design in Illustrator again, I got a bit sidetracked when searching for Sans serif fonts... The afternoon ended up being a stencil art DIY nod to the Stones, and of course with a matching soundtrack to cut and paint to. The evening went off without a hitch!
Guests were greeted with a glass of bubbly (served by a dashing young waiter i might add, the ladies were a flutter), and the collection was launched. A lovely speech by Melbournestyle Galleries Maree Coote, and assistance on the night by hair stylist Thomai ensured the ladies could try on the pieces in style. Photographer Anna Zaharakis snapped some candid pics of the guests, whom included singer Sammy Paul and jewelry designer Aaron Simpson. "...so don't know if you you heard, but..." Apparently Lady Gaga likes to get naked and dance around to Aussie rockers Airbourne. And after a bit of 'your people talk to my people', I found myself in a sewing frenzy, making a T-shirt/dress for guess who!!? Yep, very exciting, I only wish I had more to to make something spectacular, but a day is a day is what it is. Exhale, It's en route now, a Custom modified Airbourne Tee-shirt, to the hands of Gaga herself - via DJ Starlight and courtesy of the Airbourne boys (and yours truly). Here's a peek at what I came with. Wish me luck X |
